We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.
We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.
My main jobs include creating the schedules for both doctors and hygienist. I also help patients find the best ways to take care of their financial concerns, in order to move forward with the dental treatment they need to sustain or improve their overall health. As the office manager, I do as much as I can to help the office run smoothly as well as for our patients and staff. Our office is constantly doing the most we can for our patients to make every dental visit a positive experience. I believe we hold ourselves to the highest standard in the dental profession and continue to challenge ourselves with expanded technology and continuing education.
My wife Taylor and I have a three-year-old daughter named Lola and are expecting our second child in February 2016. I have recently retired from the Marine Reserve after six years but enjoy staying active with distance running, hiking, and working out. My family and I love going to events at the Saint Louis Zoo and in Forest Park, and we’re huge Mizzou and St. Louis sports fans.
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
I am one of the expanded functions dental assistants here at Kirkwood Station Dental. My areas of specialty are snoring and dental sleep medicine, and Cerec® same-day crowns. I have been in the dental field since 2001 and I make sure that my patients are comfortable and well taken care of. I enjoy helping patients treat their sleep apnea and hearing about the many ways their lives have improved as a result. The smile on your face after we have both achieved a successful result and you have enjoyed a restful night’s sleep warms my heart. I also get to work with a great team of people who all have the same vision: to make you smile and help you understand the benefits of oral health for overall health.
In my spare time I enjoy making jewelry and rosaries, riding my bike, rollerblading, and training for an occasional triathlon. I also enjoy spending time with my family and my two dachshunds, Sophie and Max. I look forward to meeting you!
After working as a dental assistant for six years, I decided to go back to college to become a dental hygienist. I graduated in December 2014 and was blessed to have the opportunity to join the team at Kirkwood Station Dental. I have a great passion for dental hygiene and enjoy the opportunity to help our patients understand why complete oral care is so beneficial to their overall health. I also feel lucky to work with such a fantastic work family. We all have the same goals in mind when it comes to our patients.
I’m getting married in September 2015 and we can’t wait to start our new life together. Our free time is spent with family and friends.
When I was a child, my hygienist made a memorable impact on me. She was kind and thoughtful but did not teach me oral hygiene techniques, which made my cleanings challenging. Now, as a hygienist myself, I place the utmost importance on creating a comfortable environment for my patients while educating them on the connection between their mouth and their overall health. I teach proper brushing techniques so each visit is as easy as possible. We have such a great team here at Kirkwood Station Dental! Together, we strive to know our patients and what is important to them.
At home, my three-year-old son keeps me very busy! We enjoy visiting the Saint Louis Zoo and Grant’s Farm, bike riding, and baking cakes together.
As a dental assistant I perform many tasks that require both interpersonal and technical skills — the most important of which are patient care, discussing treatment with patients, and helping them feel comfortable in our office. The greatest joy I get at work is seeing the end result of a beautiful smile, and knowing how much hard work was put into it. It’s also really nice to work with such a friendly staff and in a positive work environment.
I have three children who keep me very busy. I enjoy going to the Lake of the Ozarks, boating, and swimming as often as possible. I’m also lucky to have a very close family, and we spend a lot of time together.
Dentistry has had a huge impact on my life. My aspiration to pursue a career in dentistry began at a young age, because I was often surrounded by family members in the industry. My goal as a dental assistant is to help create beautiful, happy smiles that give my patients confidence for years to come. At Kirkwood Station Dental, I’m able to use advanced technologies to assist in providing solutions for my patients’ needs.
Outside of work I enjoy spending my time playing with my son, crafting, and going out with my friends and family.
I have worked in the dental field for more than 20 years in our family dental business in Dallas, TX. We “retired” from that practice to move to St. Louis and be closer to family. At Kirkwood Station Dental, I stay challenged by working in the financial end of the business. I’m here to help patients with all their insurance and billing needs.
In my free time here in St. Louis, I enjoy gardening and reading.
Here at Kirkwood Station Dental, I work alongside Dr. Thomure to make sure our patients have a positive, comfortable dental experience. I’ve been in the dental field for almost ten years and have enjoyed keeping current with the newest technology. However, my favorite aspect of my job is building relationships with my patients and getting to know them on a personal level.
